Select an option from the menu at the right side of this site to access its features. You can easily browse through our catalog or select images from a calendar view of those available. We also have an Image Search capability where you can search for prints by their title and/or description. (Menu options change depending on whether you are a logged-in member or not.)

Images on this site are identified by the date they were displayed. If you want to be readily able get back to a particular picture from our catalog, make a note of its display date. You can then quickly locate it with the calendar pages under the Select menu option at right.

Sample Photo Displayed November 10, 2008 Click image for full details Steady Path With Foliage, Lynn Woods Reservation        A Choice of Paths        ================= Behind me is a long, sometimes treacherous, mostly uphill and occasionally burdensome path that has brought me from my youth to where I am now. There are things I would have done differently if I had known what the result would be, but I can't go back and change them, even if I wanted to. Since I recognize that, I'm learning to live with the mistakes I've made and to accept them as learning experiences. Some of my difficulties have left me with burdens I'm carrying, but I'm working on getting rid of them. I'm like a traveler who, in the folly of youth, has just come charging up an easy slope, picking up things to carry as he came along. When I reached the crest of the hill, I found that, instead of leveling off or continuing upward at an easier pace, the other side dropped off toward certain destruction. I managed to stop before reaching the edge, and now I'm traveling along cautiously beside it. To my left, the Mists of Oblivion swirl aimlessly across the Plains of Life. A note scrawled into the sands says "Drop your burdens and run away from them into the Mists." The folly of that is easy to see, however: After doing so, one would soon find that they never really knew where they were, or where they were going. I could never accept such a life. To my right is the Chasm of Certain Destruction, a direction I will definitely not head. Before me lie three paths: One slightly to the left continues on this level, around the great Mountain before me. ... Of the three paths, I have already rejected one: The path to the left which continues on this level is labeled "Security," under which someone has added "(STAGNATION)." Before this path disappears around the bend and into the shrouds of the Future, it brushes the Mists of Oblivion many times. Once again, I have decided I could never accept such a life. Through this site, you can purchase limited edition prints of photographs taken by Fred Koschara, displayed on PhotoByFred.com and other sites.

Limited edition prints are signed, numbered and printed on archival quality paper with permanent pigment-based ink. Consequently, they represent a real investment opportunity.

All of the prints we are currently offering are either in 8x10 inch or 11x17 class (A3 size) format, and may be purchased either mounted and matted, or in any of a variety of frames. See the About Frames page for an overview of the frames we are offering.

The supply of prints is limited to 25 copies of each image. The first 15 copies in each set are offered at a fixed base price, while the next 7 are priced incrementally higher. (See the chart on the About Buying page for more information about print prices.) The final 3 prints in each set will be sold at auction on this site. Current pricing and auction information is shown on the page for each individual image.

You must have a customer/member account in order to purchase prints or place bids. Signing up for your member account is free and easy, simply go to the Sign Up page and fill in the required information. We don't rent, sell or otherwise share our customer lists with anyone, so you don't have to worry about getting innundated with SPAM as a result of giving us your email address.
